Safer gambling
Staying in control
Gambling is for adults aged 18 and over, and it should never be a way to make money. If it is causing worry, free and confidential help is available around the clock.

Limit types, named correctly
| Limit | What it caps |
|---|---|
| Gross deposit limit | The total you can pay in during a fixed 24-hour, 7-day or 1-month window. Withdrawals do not reduce it. |
| Net deposit limit | Deposits minus withdrawals over the period. |
| Loss limit | How much you can lose over the period. |
| Stake limit | The size of an individual bet or spin. |
Start with a gross deposit limit: it is the simplest to understand and the hardest to argue with yourself about.
